Operations for 2017 got underway on March 20 and are expected to continue until mid-November.

  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - 18,487 cy
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 13,084 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to the landfull - 13,121 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 550
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 30,280,000 gallons
Work completed in 2017 (through April 22)...
  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - 72,699 cubic yards
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 55,208 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to landfill - 50,997 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 2,139
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 139,910,000 gallons
Eight years of progress for the Fox River Cleanup Project (2009 through 2016)…
  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - more than 4.3 million cubic yards
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - nearly 2.4 million tons
  • Estimated tonnage hauled to landfill - more than 2.4 million tons
  • Truckloads to landfill - nearly 103,000
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - about 6 billion gallons

As of late April, the project has accumulated more than 2,200,900 work hours without a lost time incident.
