Operations for 2017 got underway on March 20 and are expected to continue until mid-November.

  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 7,590 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to the landfull - 7,232 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 313
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 32,780,000 gallons
Work completed in 2017 (through June 17)...
  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - 195,447 cubic yards
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 125,115 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to landfill - 130,653 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 5,553
  • Mechanical placement of armour stone - 8.63 acres
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 378,380,000 gallons
Eight years of progress for the Fox River Cleanup Project (2009 through 2016)…
  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - more than 4.3 million cubic yards
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - nearly 2.4 million tons
  • Estimated tonnage hauled to landfill - more than 2.4 million tons
  • Truckloads to landfill - nearly 103,000
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - about 6 billion gallons

As of mid June, the project has accumulated more than 2,249,100 work hours without a lost time incident.
