Operations for 2017 got underway on March 20 and are expected to continue until mid-November.

  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 8,494 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to the landfull - 8,059 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 347
  • Mechanical placement of armour stone - .73 acres
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 29,410,000 gallons

  • Estimated processed sediment produced - 94,859 tons
  • Estimated tonnage of material hauled to landfill - 97,164 tons
  • Truckloads to the landfill - 4,107
  • Mechanical placement of armour stone - 7.08 acres
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - 259,950,000 gallons
Eight years of progress for the Fox River Cleanup Project (2009 through 2016)…
  • Estimated volume of sediment dredged - more than 4.3 million cubic yards
  • Estimated processed sediment produced - nearly 2.4 million tons
  • Estimated tonnage hauled to landfill - more than 2.4 million tons
  • Truckloads to landfill - nearly 103,000
  • Water treated and discharged to the river - about 6 billion gallons

As of mid May, the project has accumulated more than 2,224,400 work hours without a lost time incident.
